30 year fixed mortgage rates go up to 4.40%

Mortgage rates for a 30 year fixed mortgage climbed 1 basis point from 4.39% to 4.40% on Wednesday, Zillow Mortgage Marketplace announced.
The 30 year fixed mortgage rate on July 28, 2010, is up 2 basis points from the previous week's average rate of 4.38% and down 50 basis points from the average rate of 4.90% from three months ago.
